I use the super trend indicator and moving averages.

I have also used ADX in the past and Malcolm Pryor has some good strategies using ADX & moving averages in his financial spread betting handbook. You can read my review of the financial spread betting handbook in my books section or by clicking the link above.

I hope this answers your question. If you have any more feel free to ask them.
Oh and welcome to the forum.

Since you are new to spread betting I thought of something else that might be of use to you. The thing that I found myself doing when I was new was looking for the perfect indicator or oscillator, the one that delivers wins 100% of the time, the so called 'holy grail' of trading. Well let me tell you now it does not exist. Trust me I've looked and there is no such thing as the perfect indicator.

The thing that I have learned over my years of trading is to pick one or two indicators, learn them inside out, develop your strategy based on them and stick with them. Looking through all the various indicators that exist is time consuming and will only server to confuse you. And if you attempt to test them all you may lose money. (I tried and I lost)

Anyway I just wanted to add this bit extra. It may save you some time researching all the indicators unnecessarily.
