Post subject:  Anyone Traded FOREX before

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with trading FOREX. Normally I wouldn't even dream of touching it because it's too rich for my blood but with a fractional bet it may be possible.

I just wondered how people found it. Is it really that much different to trading equities? I'm sure I'm being naive but I thought I'd ask and see what peoples thoughts are.

Thanks,

I've tried the EUR/USD pair with 50p/point trades. Not very successfully either.
Its too volatile = frustrating.

I too would be interested in knowing if there are indeed any differences.

cheers
Andrew.

I have traded some forex but only on demo. I have read alot of books though but even after reading through them all it just never seemed to 'click' for me so have never traded real money.
There are some very complex systems out there and unless you have all the right software/trading platform its just not worth it, infact some forex traders would laugh if they heard you were trying to trade forex on spread bettors platforms. You've got to be prepared for some real big drawdowns whilst waiting for your few big winners, so if helps if you have patience, the right mindset and also confidence in your trading plan.
