Post subject:  The Beginning: part 24

Hi

bit of a nothing day really with the FTSE suffering a bout of profit taking from the last two days excellent gains...

Despite just a 14 point drop in the FTSE my portfolio didn't fare too well and is now down almost exactly £100... told you so!! Two great days and then consolidation, profit taking and just a general breather to calm things down a bit. It's not a big deal and we've seen it time and time again. It's just part of the general upwards trend we've been having in recent weeks and, to be honest, I'm almost relieved. Hopefully this will pave the way for more gains during the next two days.

Another mixed bag of reds and greens with the best performer today being NAUTICAL PETROLEUM PLC gaining 8.5 points, which means it'll be down again tomorrow!! Next best gainer was TT ELECTRONICS PLC gaining a solid 2.75 points - I still have 6 x contracts in this share with 4 of them respectably in the blue!

Worst performer today PETRA DIAMONDS LTD losing 10.25 points - despite this drop my 5 x contracts are still in good profit and it remains one of my best positions.

No stop outs today and one position executing: EMPYREAN ENERGY PLC which opened at SP 6.66 @ £5/point (stop 4.66).

ACCOUNT VALUE £1180 giving me a profit today of £400.

Good trading, Big Al
