Hi

pretty mediocre day for the FTSE but another good day for my portfolio which managed a respectable £100 on the day! Most of this was down to PETRA DIAMONDS LTD (yet again!) which gained another 8.5 points; my profits on this one company alone are now approaching £600!!

One stop out today: EXTRACT ENERGY PLC for a small profit of £5. Two new trades executed: DOMINION PETROLEUM LTD (3rd contract) and ENERGI OIL PLC (1st contract).

Account funds now £2183 giving a profit of around £1360 since April 2010.

I have 66 open positions and 46 are currently in profit.

Cheers, Big Al

You should write a book!
But seriously, I guess a beginner could do worse than copy your trades from your blog!
Trade well...

I wish Big Al continued success... but don't forget that a beginner would have done well to have copied my demonstration trades exactly in the first quarter of 2010 and second half of 2010, but would have been left dazed and confused (and maybe bitter) by the second quarter draw-down.

I know that Big Al knows this, and is not complacent.

My point is that a beginner should learn to fish rather than relying on someone else's ability to land those fish; and I say it just in case those beginners are listening ;-)

Hi

well said Tony.... I cannot emphasise enough that I have been very lucky over the last month or so, and that things can easily turn around in the blink of an eye. If I'm still around this time next year, and in profit, then I'll start to feel I'm maybe getting the hang of things, a bit!

Anyway if anyone should decide to 'follow' any of my 'strategies' then on their own heads be it........!

Best of luck to everyone and here's hoping for a great year ahead.

Regards, Big Al
