pretty mediocre day today with the FTSE going nowhere and finishing a paltry 5 points in the green. Happily my portfolio ignored all that and made a respectable gain of around £80-90 on the day so no complaints!

No stop outs and 2 new contracts executed:

1) NYOTA MINERALS LTD (2nd contract)
2) MINCO PLC (1st contract)

Best performer today (and yesterday) was NYOTA MINERALS LTD which has rocketed from 23 SP yesterday to 29 SP today. Amazingly I am sitting on a profit of £78 already on this share which I basically 'punted' based on the www.iii.co.uk bulletin board.
I do not recommend this as normal practice and I am the first to admit that I was just lucky on opening this position literally a few hours before it started upwards. It's a very rare event to enter a trade at exactly the right moment - this just happened to be one of them and it probably won't ever happen again...

Anyway account funds £1265 so I'm back to almost £500 profit again.

I now have 52 open positions of which 37 are showing various degrees of profit. Here's hoping my luck holds out until the new year!
