Hi
another quick post as I have to go out this evening...
Pretty mediocre day all round really; my porfolio seems to have temporarily stagnated so I guess I'll have to exercise some patience!
Another day of more red than green, although a massive rise on NAUTICAL PETROLEUM PLC - 27.5 points - has helped to ease the pain...!
I've had a few stop outs in recent days but my portfolio is holding out fairly well. As I've said in previous posts I don't really mind how many positions stop out as long as my funds maintain a generally upwards trend. I think I'm going to concentrate more on my successful positions, rather than just keep opening new contracts on an almost daily basis. I now have some 5-6 spread bets that perform consistently well so it seems sensible to continue to pyramid these...
Anyway account funds £2100 so still around £1300 in profit despite a few mediocre weeks. I have 60 open positions and 41 are currently showing profit.
Cheers, Big Al

Al, is there anyway in the IG Index software to quickly see the total profit 1 position has given? Or is the only way to do it to manually download the data into an Excel spreadsheet. I'm either missing something obvious or IG are the only company who dont show a profit/loss figure next to an open position which is very strange to me. Happy trading! (I'd be happy with a 130% return!!)

Hi
there's a 'profit/loss' column on the far right of each market line which shows just that since the contract was opened...

Yer, you'd think so but for some reason on mine there isn't such a thing. I have a 30" monitor and that information is nowhere to be seen! Guess I'll email IG Index as theres obviously something wrong somewhere.
