another amazing performance by the FTSE today which finished 125 points higher...

'Banks and commodity stocks powered strong gains for Britain’s top share index on Thursday on growing investor confidence that the eurozone debt crisis would be contained.'

Not much to say other than most of my portfolio managed some gains to leave my account balance approaching £1100, probably the highest since I started back in April.

Would you believe the best performer of the day was NAUTICAL PETROLEUM PLC gaining a solid 13.75 points! I've been slagging this share for days and suddenly it's back in profit, albeit a paltry 0.51p; still at least I now have a healthy 21 points of stop protection so there's hope yet. Despite the massive gain in the FTSE the rest of my portfolio is a mixed bag of relatively small gains with 6 or 7 small losers, the net result being an overall gain of around £60-70 on the day. Not complaining about that!

One new contract today: PATAGONIA GOLD PLC opening SP 44.06 @ £5/point with a stop loss of 38.06. No stop outs today.
